Karin Melinda Reber

 

Is a Landscape Designer and Virginia Certified Horticulturist in the DC Metro Area.  Her love of gardens began at an early age, with more than one reported incidence of her parents finding her outside in the backyard covered head to toe in dirt, and loving every minute of it.   They may tell you she was eating it too--though this will be strongly denied if asked. 

 

Karin's passion for gardens and the landscape grew as she did, and today she works for a Landscape Design/Build company in Northern Virginia.  Her Masters Degree from George Washington University in Landscape Design and Sustainable Landscapes keeps her focus on a largely native plant palette, though she will be the first to admit that she has a weak spot for big, bold tropicals too.

 

When she is not working the 9-5, she can be found at the Kensington Park Library Literary Garden, walking around the neighborhood, taking photos, or at home with her awesome husband and their two very fluffy kitties.
